Sheikh Mohammed Youssef El Khereiji - Founder

Sheikh Mohammed represents one of the leading merchant families in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He oversees a conglomerate that includes interests in hospitality, luxury goods, finance, construction, trading and real estate, is responsible for the general management of the family’s industry conglomerate, and holds other prominent Board positions in Europe and the Middle East. Sheikh Mohammed is very much engaged in charitable and philanthropic activities. He is the Honorary Chairman of the Swiss Red Cross as well as its international Ambassador, and is very active in other charitable organizations.

Bernard, recognized in 2000 with the award “Corporate Hotelier of the World”, has deep understanding and experience in the hotel and leisure sectors. Until early 2012, he was the CEO of Société des Bains de Mer Monte Carlo, which owns and operates a number of prestigious and iconic luxury hotels and resort properties in Monaco, including the famous Monte Carlo Casino. Previously, Bernard was President and CEO of Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, where he was responsible of all aspects of strategy, finance, sales & marketing, and development. Under his leadership, the Group’s portfolio grew from 75 to 130 hotels.

 

Paul Wagemaker – Corporate Director of Finance

Paul studied at the Free University in Amsterdam and graduated in 1999 with a degree in Accounting. He is a registered Dutch CPA of the Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants. Before joining Global Hotels & Resorts in January 2012, Paul worked as an auditor for over twenty years, specialising in group audits of multinationals. Aside to his responsibilities as Corporate Director of Finance, Paul is Secretary to the Advisory Board of Global Hotels & Resorts.
